Getting it together

Wisconsin's major rivers

And so the journey begins

Not sure if everyone that peruses these blogs gets how complicated something so "simple" as paddling a canoe or kayak can be? The planning of such an undertaking can be daunting. The clock keeps ticking as the event grows near and as it does, you truly see how prepared or unprepared you are for the event.

I really have to dip my paddle to all the participants that made it down to the Everglades Challenge this year. So many coming in new boats, or trying a new class of boat to participate in. The newbies, the old salts, a who's who of expedition paddle - sailing. All learning from each other in their pursuit of their own personal victory-- finishing.

The larger the island of knowledge, the longer the shoreline of wonder. - Ralf W. Sockman
